I didn't have much time before I had to jump right into life as a grad student. But I guess being busy has kept me from spending too much time missing the freedom of the summer.
Since I'm working as a TA in the Japanese department, I have my own (shared) office. I feel so grown up. 662PH, that's where you'll find me:) I take the stairs up and down the stairs to the 6th floor where my office is about 12 times a week. I can't help but wonder how I just finished riding my bike so far, but yet still get winded going up the stairs...
Working on name cards for the first years. I'm so bad at writing big!! One of my classes got pink name cards, the other yellow:)
Kind of 'strange' English doesn't just happen in Japan, it happens on the Asian and Slavic Languages floor as well. Every time I go to the bathroom and see this sign on the stall door it makes me laugh.
Rush hour in Iowa City...
Students everywhere rushing to get to class...I was taking a nap in the lawn...
Is fall here already?!?
