A squid boat still lit up after night fishing. I believe the light attracts the squid in the night, but could be making that up.
This blog started as a way for my friends and family to follow me as I biked across the country in 2010 for the American Lung Association's Big Ride. Now that I've finished it has become a collection of random thoughts and pictures. Enjoy!

Squid City
In Japan Hakodate City = Squid (not literally, but it is very well known here). They even have squid ink flavored ice cream. So squid are everywhere. I saw this squid family on the side of a factory the other day. These are the grandparents, then there were the two parents, and the two grandchildren.
