Day 29: Owatonna to Winonna: 97 miles

A beautiful Minnesota morning.

Tim and Sam putting yesterdays 51 mph record to shame by clocking in at 64 mph! They must have been racing...

A.C. had a friend today. It looks like their personalities would clash but they seemed to be getting along well.

You know you've been spending a lot of time together when you notice people are wearing jerseys they've never worn before. Chad had been saving this one to test who has really been paying attention to his wardrobe. It's SUPER GROVER!!!! I think it did give him extra power because he was moving really fast today:)

We went through Rochester and right by the Mayo Clinic. It was nice to be there without having to go inside. But definitely one of the best hospitals in the country.

Cows bath time. Cows in the midwest don't seem to respond as well to the hey cow game (basically, you yell at cows and see how many you can get to look, stand up, run away, run towards you...) We have gotten hardly any reaction since we got into Minnesota...

2000 miles done!

Making a 2 in challenging, especially in the middle of a highway.

A pretty railroad bridge

We're getting closer to the Mississippi with all of these hills.

And there the Mississippi is! We stopped at the tourist info center in town and the woman told us about an overlook up on the bluff. She said Lance Armstrong called it an Ironman climb...so of course Sam and I had to ride up there. It was definitely challenging, but we made it.
