Goodbye Hokkaido, Back to Honshu

It felt so good to come out of the tunnel into Honshu. Hakodate was nice, but I really missed Tohoku:)

Scenery from the train window.

A typical Tohoku train station...that's right, a platform in the middle of fields.

I am always amazed at Japanese people's ability to sleep anywhere, at any time.

The Blue Forest Railway

I know from experience that they are not lying. It does hurt when one of these doors shuts on you.

I love the signs for priority seating. Evidently having problems like no arms or aliens in your stomach gives you the right to sit down on a train.
