Day to Day

Those one or two people that regularly read my blog (aka my parents), know that even though I haven't lived in Japan for several years, I still put up posts about it. It was such a big part of my life, that it still has a presence. So, there are times when I come across something "Japan-ish" in my daily life that brings a smile to my face.

Today's example, this book cover. Over break I had a goal to read an actual book, so I read this Japanese novel (I figured it would help me practice since I haven't been using my Nihongo much lately). When you buy a book in Japan, they always put a nice book cover on your book, probably so guys can read their porn openly in public without being quite as obvious (not joking). Well, this book cover had quite the inspiring message (and no, there is no porn concealed under that cover).

Yep, that's right, Engrish in action:)

These are socks I got in Japan that I finally decided to wear. Do they make sense? No. Do they say "DIAPER"? They most certainly do. They also say, "I CAN FLY", and that is why I love them:)
