I'm Off!

Well, here I am back in Japan again, three years after I left. Before I left I wasn't really sure how I felt about coming back, and even now that I'm here I still don't know. It's always going back to a place that you considered your home, but facing the fact that you're just a visitor. But, my least favorite part of the trip, 15+ hour travel time to get here is done!

Rachel commented how almost every person that goes on a trip takes a picture of the wing of the plane, and I of course didn't want to disappoint her.

I've officially arrived! This sign welcomes people to the Narita (Tokyo) airport. The Japanese version says welcome home.

The first thing I ate: an onigiri from the convenience store. Onigiri is a rice triangle with some sort of filling inside (often fish, but not always), wrapped in seaweed. Delicious!

The guy cleaning the train, in his uniform and mask. One thing I appreciate about Japan is that people take pride in their jobs, not matter what it is.
