This blog started as a way for my friends and family to follow me as I biked across the country in 2010 for the American Lung Association's Big Ride. Now that I've finished it has become a collection of random thoughts and pictures. Enjoy!
Chikako and I did a full day tour of Yamagata. She did the driving, I did the navigating. From all of my biking while I was in Yamagata, I probably know more random mountain roads than most Japanese people.

We stopped at a bunch of Michi no Eki's, or road stations. They are basically roadside souvenir shops. Rachel and I would always stop at these when we went out and about.
