The map planning session for going into Milwaukee was very extensive, but it turned out to be unneeded. When we got into town we had an entire car lane and then bike lane to ourselves.
We took the ferry across Lake Michigan. They were very well prepared for hosting bikes.
We also encountered our first rain of the trip while on the ferry, which made for perfect timing. It however did not make it very fun to go out on the top deck of the ferry.
After we got off the ferry, we decided to ride another 20 miles or so to get to a hotel. On the way we met a turtle! (One of us was so excited we had a little accident, but I'm not telling who)

The time change meant it stayed light until around 9, which was nice because we were riding pretty late.
