It is also starting to make her a bit of a legend in Cedar Rapids. Word is slowly spreading and if she isn't wearing it, it is the first thing everyone asks about. Those who haven't seen it desperately want to. And those lucky enough to pass by her in their cars are in such awe of it's awesomeness they almost crash. My nephew even talked about it tonight at dinner and said how "he looked funny wearing the brim because he is too small, but that it looks nice on Grandma" (as a side note, he also said that about her fit over sunglasses, so she has probably been training him or possibly paying him to say these things)
My arm wasn't long enough to fit the brim in all its glory, but you get the idea.
Warning, taking off the brim can make you do crazy things!
Besides our excitement of having the perfect day for our brims (relatively flat terrain and a tailwind), we also got to spend the night with family in East Troy!
My sister's husband's mom and grandma, Elaine and Lonni. If you haven't met them, these two are awesome! (And another reason it is sad that my sister moved to Texas, I don't get to see her in-laws as much. Weird...possibly. True...definitely!)
Their beautiful lake side house, which proved to be an excellent location for our laundry.
We even got a personal tour of the area.
And drove by the Elegant Farmer, with it's happy barn.
